Art Exists in Southend

August 13th, 2008

Here’s an animated logo I produced around September 2007 for a local, Essex project called ‘Art Exists in Southend’, that aimed (in their words);

“to promote local events and artistsĀ in Southend and surrounding areas but also provide a place for people to check out what’s on through the calendar, blogs and your comments.”

Art Exists in Southend

Somewhat evocative of the place I like to think (I’ll let those less blaze to it all than I make that desision themselves).

AEiS lives, online, at www.myspace.com/artexists.

Tweet-tweet

August 9th, 2008

As you may or may not have noticed (or may or may not have cared) I have, of late, been swept up in the Twitter phenomenon along with everyone else and their associated family and friends pretending to work but instead informing everyone else what they’re not doing - all by the means of one hundred and forty characters or less..

One tool that makes this infinitely easier (especially in the realm of keeping one eye on what everyone is up to and one eye on work) is TwitKit, a Flock or Firefox sidebar add-on that keeps you abreast of everything without ever having to actually visit Twitter in the first place! Awesomeness with extra awesome sauce. With olives (I like olives).

If you do make a habit of tweeting make sure to check it out and follow @TwitKit on Twitter as they’ve started a contest for its TwitKit friends - and guess who went and won it with a big old win..

That’s right. Follow me at @liambrazier if you are that desperate for minute-by-minute updates about how my wireless is playing up, or that Batman is really thin in The Machinist, or other verbose (but concise) nonsense I feel compelled to tell the world.

Download the latest (at time of writing) one point-one release of TwitKit now - it’s point one better! More details on the TwitKit blog.
